i went to the beach on friday and i got a bad sunburn. My upper back and chest are completely red. I bought Aloe vera gel yesterday and have been applying it and haventreally seen any improvements just less pain.
is there anything i can do to speed up the healing process ?because i have a big event at the end of next week.
Answer:
Aloe vera gel has been used extensively in the treatment of burns and has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerating properties.
Lavender and Idaho balsam fir therapeutic grade essential oils support tissue regeneration and reduce scarring and skin discoloration. You may add one of these to speed up the healing process.
Severe burns can result in dehydration and mineral loss. The reason that burns tend to swell and blister is due to fluid loss from damaged blood vessels. So, keep the burn well hydrated (moist) and drink plenty of water.
All burns can be serious, therefore, seek medical attention, if necessary.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Use Banana Boat Aloe after sun lotion. It really helps.
Aloe Vera is usually the best for sunburns. The fact that you're feeling less pain is a good sign. With any type of burn it is best to keep the burn area moist. Keep using the aloe Vera lotion. Burns do not heal quickly. It's best to allow the healing process run it's course. In the mean time be cautious with sunlight where you are burned.
viniger bath
Sun burns suck. Aloe vera is always good, but be sure and keep it moisturized too with lotion to make sure it doesn't start peeling and you look like you have a skin disease- haha! I hate that! Cool showers feel good, and when you have aloe vera on, put a fan on so it will blow on your back and chest. Other than that, I don't know:)
