i want statements from people that've experienced it..i'm hoping to feel replenished and have a more stable, clear mind..and how long does it take to get back to normalcy? i'm kind of in a fog all the time with horrible short-term memory.
Answer:
You might feel cranky and irritable the first few days - especially if a stressful situation arises during your abstinence.
After a couple of weeks though, your memory will start to improve and that fog your in will lift. You will fell better physically and mentally!
Give it a little time and you will see that you've made the right decision to stop smoking!
Legal.
It depends on how heavy you used. If you're dependant it could take a little while. If it was just at parties probably not so long. But kudos for quitting.
you will feel really stressed out and irritable. you wont be able to focus for the next two weeks to a month. you should probably take up a new habit like eating suckers because it is the hand to mouth motion that is part of the addiction...i an so sorry you're quitting. that is a hard thing to tear away from. the short term memory lapse can be helped with simple mind tests or thinking exercises.
It takes about month to feel normal again. Once you get to that normal state, you'll love that you're not in a fog. You'll be clearheaded, and you can function without the goofiness that comes with longterm pot smoking.
I know after I quit, I kinda missed the "fun." Then after some time, I came to realize I didn't miss it at all, and it wasn't as fun as I thought it had been.
Good luck to you!
you will feel cranky, irritable, and restless these feelings will last for a while but stay away from pot and soon you will be back to normal.
well, marijuana isnt really suppose to be addictive. But i guess it can be to some people. Well, if i were you, i wouldnt just stop doing it right away. slowly ease your self down from it. Go from smoking every day to 3 times a week, then only do it once a week, and then do it once every 2 weeks and so on. Then try to only do it once a month, and then eventually it will be easier to go with out it.
I dont understand why anyone would want to quit tho. lol.
I have very bad memory, but i just try and live with it.
But if you want to stop then sweet.
you'll be feeling back to normal before you know it.
good luck.
