Im signed up with testwiththebest and now have the chance to join one of their testing programmes, the money is brilliant but i do remember a while back with those men when it all went horribly wrong
was that just a one off or is it a regular thing that happens?
Answer:
They have to be reasonably safe and already teasted on animals i think. You'll be right go for it. You could potentially save lives.
That's the beauty of it. Or the uglyness. It's a test; no one will know what is going to happen and that's also why you're getting paid so much money.
Drug testing is just that...testing, they aren't sure how it affects humans yet, that's why they pay so well, anything can happen to you...from nothing...to death. I wouldn't do it..try donating sperm..or eggs, whatever gender you are.
Read the fine print. They will own you. If someting goes wrong, oh well.
Oh my goodness no. But it is a 50/50 gamble; you could be one of the lucky ones and be given the placebo.
Human testing is not safe, but necessary.
You are risking serious health problems for the rest of your life if anything goes wrong and things do go wrong.
It is up to you to decide if the money is worth the risk.
READ all the paperwork as some companies have clauses that relieve them of all responsibility if anything goes wrong.
And very few insurances cover human trials.
Normally quite safe as they test on animals first but if u r on meds already they may interact and cause all kinds of irreversible problems...
They are as sure as they can be that the drugs are safe to use on humans. But things can go wrong but 100s of new drugs are launched every year if it was so risky it wouldn't happen
I think you answered your own question here. Yes, we all heard about the previous set of trials where people reacted very adly, but you do realise that these trial occur daily in many different places, but still, you've only heard of one lot going wrong.
Obviuosly, there are risks, but as you say yourself, how can we be sure that any drugs that we take in the future are safe for us unless they have been tested.
I know I'll get a slanting for this comment, but, I would prefer my drugs to be tested on people rather than animals. A asprin will kill a goat, but we can take 8 a day? Go figure!!
You will be told the risks before each trial %26 there's nothing stopping you from saying "no, this one is not for me".
My friend did it for years. I would if I wasn't a nurse (they don't appreciate you turning up for work with certain illnesses)..lol
If you do these trials - we will all owe you a big thank you :)
Good luck in your choice.
It can be a good thing to see if the drugs work but as you said there's a risk involved...just a reminder... :-

There is a risk. The case you refer to would seem to indicate that sufficient precautions are not always taken.
In the case you refer to the company concerned did / does not have enough insurance cover to pay damages.
Are clinical trials safe?
The FDA works to protect participants in clinical trials and to ensure that people have reliable information as they decide whether to join a clinical trial. The federal government has regulations and guidelines for clinical research to protect participants from unreasonable risks.
Although efforts are made to control the risks to clinical trial participants, some risks may be unavoidable because of the uncertainty inherent in medical research studies involving new medical treatments.
The government requires researchers to give prospective participants complete and accurate information about what will happen during the trial. Participants must sign an "informed consent" document before joining the study indicating they understand that the trial is research, and that they can leave the clinical trial at any time. This informed consent is part of a process that ensures a prospective participant in a clinical trial understands what known risks might be associated with the study, and whether there are potential, but as yet unknown risks that may be associated with the product being studied. This information permits someone deciding whether or not to enter a clinical trial to make an informed decision about the level of risk they are willing to accept before they enter the trial.
What - have you forgotten about what happened at Northwick Park three years ago already !-
I remember the test involving those men that went badly wrong but don't recall any other such cases - at least not that made the news.
I suppose, being tests, there has to be a gamble but I wouldn't like to predict the odds of something going wrong. Personally I wouldn't take the chance no matter how brilliant the money.
If you go ahead, I hope all goes well. Don't want to lose you from ByeDr.com!
they shouldnt do drug testing on animals or humans if they are so intrested why dont they do it themselves , fanella you shouldnt take a risk these people do anything , even if the money is high its not worth it ..
about as safe as taking drugs
they would test them on animals.
Apparantly not too safe. that's why they are on trial...so they should be restricted to people that have no other options
