How to get a peace sleep eventhough the surrounding is making a terrible annoying sound?

I hard to get sleep with so much noises disturb my sleep concentration. I know that there are people who wants to get my attention and wishes me the trouble with my sleep. Like hitting on my room ceiling from their upper room with a big bang sound.. How can I solve this problem? Can you sleep with this kind of environment? If you do... How do you do it?
Answer:
Ask them to stop...or buy some ear plugs. I used to use them when I worked a night shift. It help to block out the noise of people mowing their lawns etc.
Call the cops
damn...must be hard...go and tell them to put a sock in it...or report them to the noise controllere in your area
couple glasses of red wine before you go to bed at a non active pace...feel a lil buz...you ll sleep like a lil baby
foam ear plugs. They sell them at most stores cheaply. They work great.
move to Mexico
i live in this noisy apartment an i got earplugs at cvs or a local drugstore the work really well.
Well if you can, tell the people to stop making the noise. You could also try earplugs or hearing protection, which you could probably find at a construction store like the Home Depot.
Report some people first. Buy some eary plugs, then turn on a fan really loud.
I move abroad, and sleep in a mud hut for 51 weeks of the year.
zanax and trazodone my doctor gives it to me
I would suggest some type of noisemaker (rain or forest). With any luck, while sleeping you will subconsciously focus on the rain instead of the pounding.

If that doesn't work, you might have to go about it the old fashioned way: ear plugs.
There are forms of meditation you can apply. Concentrating on your inner thoughts, and not letting the sounds control your restful mind. Let go of any thoughts of frustration, and try to mentally accept the noises as natural. The noises don't keep you awake, it's your reaction to those noises that occupies your mind. Free your mind, and you will find sleep.

If you can move and you know this is deliberate attempts to keep you awake, then move. If you are tired you will fall asleep no matter what is happening. I have no problem sleeping with lots of machinery running around me but if I am not sleepy, it doesn't matter how quiet it is, I stay awake.
where do u live it cant be that back cuz u didnt take a stand yet(or the second thought dont something might happen) scratch that
Try sleeping pills not every doctor will subscribe them but they will if you can prove you have a problem in sleeping..
my mother had the same problem you need to contact your local council and ask to speak to environment services. They will send you a noise diary thay you have to fill out for a few weeks and then they will fit a sound measuring device in your home for a few days.If they think it is bad then they will take them to court and fine them,if they (the noise makers) rent the property then they will have them evicted.Thats hat happened in my mums case.Hey,dont EVER have a child, you never ever get sleep then!
Ear plugs......they work GREAT!!

Good luck!!
Ear plugs or headphones with something piped in you can sleep to and that will block out other environmental sounds. I believe Bose has such headphones.
