I suffer with depression and i am tired alot of the time, but i want to have more energy.
I am trying to get myself into a 'normal' routine as well walking for a bit everyday etc.
But a few tips that could help me would be nice.
Thanks.
Answer:
Walking is good. Any light exercise will lift you.
The best thing is to have a good diet with regular mealtimes.
Try to stay off sugary foods, alcohol and caffiene as much as possible. Pick up a 5 a day leaflet from your doctor or supermarket %26 try to eat slow release foods such as oats, brown bread, rice etc.
When you feel down your likely to binge a little, don't worry about that too much. If you try to eat well the rest of the time you will be tired and depressed much less often.
If you are off your food then, all in one multivitimins will tide you over a bit. Your doctor can prescribe these if you can't buy them for some reason.
Changing your diet will be a slow process, so be patient and keep trying little by little you will get there.
Take care and best of luck
p.s. your body is enlivened by sunshine so get outide whenever you can.
This is a difficult one, i know how you feel. You know what walking is good for you, i find that when i really am tired its my body telling me to sleep so i sleep, to fight it, i go have a hot shower then go out shopping or do housework.. i hope you feel better soon, i hate this illness, it just overtakes your life. xx
Go to holland and barrett and they sell energy extra its 拢1.99 for 30 tablets or go and ask them what you can take to give you more energy I am sure there are lots of things. If you don't want to take anything then all I can suggest is lots of exercise the more you do the better you will feel but it takes a while to kick in. Also try energy drinks lucozade or other sports drinks.
exercise - it always makes me feel more revitalised even though i often dont feel i want to/or can do it im always glad i did.
getting your diet right will help with all of these. And to find out the right diet for you I'd advise you finding out about your metabolic type to see which foods suit you. protein types get lethargic from eating carbs, and carb types get lethargic from eating protein is a really simple way of looking at metabolic typing.
Checkout this book from amazon that will tell you what metabolic type you are and suggest which foods are good for you to eat and which you should avoid eating.
